  4.     CASTRO COURTS JERUSALEM. With the Soviet Union squirming
  5. about the $5.5 billion annual cost of subsidizing his
  6. revolution, Fidel Castro has recently become less picky about
  7. his trading partners. Of late, he has been reaching out to
  8. Israel. "We have a lot in common," says a Havana official of
  9. the more pragmatic approach his country is taking toward the
  10. Middle East. "Both we and the Israelis have been isolated,
  11. independent and tough." Geopolitics notwithstanding, the real
  12. appeal for the Castro government is Israel's expertise in
  13. agriculture. Cuba desperately needs to boost its citrus and
  14. sea-food production. Both are major export items.
